Animals Australia’s Appeal for the Macau Greyhounds
The concrete cells that have been the last sight for hundreds of ‘unwanted’ Aussie greyhounds will soon be empty — Macau’s notorious Canidrome racetrack is CLOSING DOWN this Saturday! Finally, the 650 surviving dogs who have languished in this prison will have a chance to be free.
Our friends at GREY2K USA, ANIMA – 澳門愛護動物協會 and Pet levrieri have assembled a safety net of waiting adoption groups around the world that are ready and waiting to give all the love and care these dogs so desperately need — but the owner of the racing track is refusing to relinquish ownership of the dogs. This is where you come in!
❗ Please take URGENT action to convince the Macau government to order the release of all surviving dogs into the caring hands of Albano Martins. Albano has been fighting on behalf of these dogs for years and operates a shelter just near the Canidrome.
These dogs have never known love — most of them were exported here over the years by Australian owners and trainers seeking to make a quick buck out of their ‘slow’ dogs ?. Please, join this global effort to save the surviving greyhounds — and help make sure these dogs are spoiled rotten for the rest of their years!
? Send a direct email to Macau Chief Executive Dr. Chui Sai On at email@example.com and ask that all the Canidrome dogs be released to ANIMA.
