Sweet home at last!
On Monday 15th March yet another happy event took place as 18 more Irish greyhounds and lurchers arrived in Italy to be united with their eagerly awaiting forever families.
As usual, these dogs had been rescued and cared for in Ireland during the previous months by Limerick Animal Welfare, GalwaySPCA and Deel Rescue, and transported and homed in Italy by Pet levrieri.
All the transports are undertaken in strict adherence to EU and WHO regulations to avoid the risk of transmission of Covid-19.
Many thanks to Limerick Animal Welfare, to GalwaySPCA and Deel Rescue, for their work rescuing greyhounds and lurchers in Ireland.
In Italy, huge thanks to:
– the transport company Carminati and drivers Fabrizio and Davide, and transport coordinator Erika Pozzi;
– the Italian veterinary authority dept ATS Monza Brianza;
