IT’S BEEN A GOOD YEAR FOR THE GREYHOUND CAUSE – HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
Christmas is nearly here and another year is about to end. It’s been a good year for our cause: the Macau Canidrome has been shut down and the Florida vote effectively marked the end of greyhound racing in the country where it began, almost 100 years ago.
These victories were by no means easy wins, or the result of a change of conscience from ‘bad folk turned good’, but the result of much hard work over years of campaigning on the part of the greyhounds’ true friends – those who have made it their purpose in life to end the exploitation of these dogs.
We would like to wish them, their families and their pets a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year. We know that more challenges are in store for us, but we are certain that we will be able to overcome them with patience, perseverance, determination and intelligence, until the day when greyhound racing is just a distant memory.
Special good wishes to our friends from the rescues and anti racing and anti hunting campaign groups who fight in the front line and amidst many difficulties in the places where greyhounds, lurchers and galgos are exploited and killed. We are deeply thankful to them for all they have done and continue to do every day to help these dogs and end their exploitation.
Happy Christmas from us all at Pet Levrieri!
