ALL 9 IRISH GREYHOUNDS ARE SAFE AND SOUND
We have some wonderful news! After a process of vigorous and careful doublechecking, we can now confirm that all 9 Irish greyhounds sent to Macau in 2016 are alive and have been identified.
They are:
1) Ballinulty Star
2) Crossfield Marie
3) Bellmore Belle
4) Crossfield Simon
5) High Maintenance
6) Two Stone Tadgh
7) Crossfield Leona
8) Ballinulty Show
9) Milled Ash
Of these, High Maintenance (a.k.a. Brighten Righ as renamed by the Canidrome), has been rescued by Anima in June and is now safe and sound at the refuge, Crossfield Simon and Bellemore Belle – respectively renamed Beauty Butterfly and Happy Child by the Canidrome – have been adopted locally in Macau. Apart from these last two, all seven of the others will be adopted in Europe.
This is an extraordinary result for these dogs, at least half of which had been presumed dead for a long time.
We will soon publish new photos of them. Please be patient as there is a huge amount of work to be done! Thank you.
