My name is King and I am a great dog!
Hello everybody! My name is King, for anyone who doesn’t know me yet.
As promised, I’m going to tell you all about how I’m settling into my new life in Italy. Well, what can I say? It’s great here.
It was a really really long trip, so tiring, and me and Prince and Phoebe were a bit worried because we didn’t know what was going to happen to us, but in the end we landed and Samantha Gauchat handed us over to some people who looked after us very patiently and gently…so we started to heave a big sigh of relief.
But…I have to tell you that yesterday evening when I saw my bestest friend of all, Prince, going away without me I got all panicky and started to cry because I wanted to go with him, but then Stefania Traini comforted me and told me that everything would be alright, and that she would help me discover that, and she asked me to try and trust her a little bit…so I did.
We got into a car and when we arrived at their house I was a bit worried and didn’t know what to think, so I just leaned against Stefania and let her guide me. Massimo Greco disappeared up the stairs, and after a bit he came back with this great big gang of dogs: a kind of black crossbreed thingy and 5 greyhounds!! I just couldn’t believe my eyes!
I felt so happy, and I started wagging like crazy and pulling towards them so I could go and meet them. They all welcomed me very politely, and the black crossbreed thingy – who I later discovered is called Adhara – very quickly clued me in on all the various House Rules…she’s a bit strict, that one!
Then, I learned how to climb and go down the stairs straightaway…nothing to it!
Then we went into the house…I don’t think I’d ever been inside a house before, it’s full of things I’ve never seen and I’m really curious about everything…I’m still inspecting everything and discovering more and more new things…
Finally I fell into a deep sleep all curled up on that thing they call a sofa and against Stefania’s thigh, while she was stroking me in a way I really liked.
I slept all through the night, I didn’t dirty anywhere and at dawn this morning I let them know I had to go outside, but anyway they tell me that here in the Traini-Greco household everybody always gets up at dawn so that’s alright!
Then we all went for a walk in the snow…I really liked that.
Then we went home and we all had our breakfast…they feed us a thing called BARF here and I rather liked that, though I still have to figure out how to chew those great big chunks of meat, but I’m sure I’ll learn fast!
Right now I am on the sofa relaxing next to Adhara…
You know what? I’m so happy here, and I tried to say that to Stefania and Massimo…
Stefania came and sat next to me and said to me: “You are great dog, do you know that? Massimo and I and the gang would like to keep you with us forever. Welcome to your forever family!’
I think they have decided to adopt me!??
