When a broken leg is a DEATH sentence!
(Full and integral post)
In May of 2015 Farloe Cat was shipped to Palm Beach Kennel Club.
She lived in a cage at the track kennel compound, and raced more than fifty times over the next seven months.
Farloe won a few races, but her luck finally ran out on a cloudy afternoon in late December.
According to a state investigative report she collided with another greyhound during a race and fell, breaking a front leg.
Farloe was taken to the track vet, who later said she had an “open fracture” and “exposed shattered bone.”
The track vet called Farloe’s owner, who ordered that she be destroyed.
Farloe never had a family, or a permanent loving home.
She was just two years old when she died.
