COVID-19 virus – GREY2K USA Worldwide want to offer you our friendship, support and thanks
(Full and integral post)
Dear Friends,
As the world struggles to understand and address the threat of the COVID-19 virus, we at GREY2K USA Worldwide want to offer you our friendship, support and thanks.
We also want to let you know what is happening to greyhounds at racetracks during this challenging time.
Thankfully, half of the Florida tracks had already closed and now Orange Park and the Palm Beach Kennel Club have followed suit.
Daytona will soon join the list, with its last race scheduled for March 28.
The remaining three are “playing it by ear.”
The Arkansas track has closed down along with both West Virginia tracks as well as the only operational facilities in Texas and Iowa.
Scotland’s Shawfield has closed until further notice.
In Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK, tracks are closed to the public but races continue.
Mexico and Vietnam have announced no change in activities.
You may follow this evolving situation on GREY2K’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
For the moment, our hope for all of you is to stay home with your family, two and four-footed.
Studies show that the love of companion animals reduces stress and contributes to overall human health.
So hug your hound today.
Sincerely,
Christine A. Dorchak, Esq.
