THE SAVE THE MACAU GREYHOUNDS BILLBOARD – A FOCAL POINT IN MILAN!
Thanks to the generous donation of one of our associate members, we have created a billboard for the #SaveTheMacauGreyhounds worldwide campaign, which aims to save the 650 greyhounds still detained at the Canidrome in Macau, the worst racetrack in the world, where 16,000-18,000 greyhounds have been killed in the last 55 years.
The billboard, which measures 800 x 500 cm and is lit up at night, has been up since Monday 19th March in Milan on Viale Forlanini, a very busy road on the way to the airport.
It is fast becoming a major focal point, attracting the attention of many people both Italian and from other parts of the world.
The billboard was designed by graphic designer and Pet Levrieri associate member Elisa Cattani. The image of the greyhound featured on the billboard is by photographer Mike Hui, who has kindly given us permission for its use.

In Italy too many celebrities from the worlds of show business, sport, journalism and the arts have also joined the campaign, among whom: Rosita Celentano, Angelo Vaira, Fabiola Casà, Maria Luisa Cocozza, Ivana Spagna, Daniela Poggi, Roger Garth, Andrea Roncato, Silvia Storari, Camilla Filippi, Veronika Logan, Tessa Gelisio, Sabrina Bertini, Francesco Arca, Daniela Meucci, Ambra Sinagra, Oskar Cecere, Valerio Scanu, Ciccio Merolla, Pierpaolo Spollon, Caterina Silva, Benedetta Cimatti, Luca Caiazzo, Rosaria De Cicco, Simone Cercato, Claudio Di Biagio, Valentina Ferrari, Federico Piccinaglia, Linda Cerruti, Enrica Merlo.
